OUR CLASS DESCRIPTION

We are a class of 30 Year 6 and 7 students Our main aim as class is to provide a happy and safe environment and we achieve this by using the Riwaka 4 R's and by producing A1 quality work.

Planned highlights for the year are: all interschool sports fixtures, and the gymnastics display.  The main one is the camp, which will have positive benefits for all of us.  We are fortunate to have a teacher who is willing to take us for this.  We are also looking forward to topic work.

Our class behaviour is positive and we show respect for others in the school.  Our teacher regards us highly in this respect.  We are striving to be the best class ever.

We have have set ourselves really well considered goals for this year. These will appear on our Own Stuff blog posts.  Some of these are listed here.  India wishes to master her times tables by practising at home.  Freeman is to spell bigger words.  Megan will listen more carefully.  Daniel wants to stay focused in maths and topic study. Finn A wishes to master division.  Josh's goal is to stay focused in all his learning by listening to instructions and asking questions when he doesn't understand--an excellent aim.  Jenna wants to develop a more positive attitude to maths.  Jade knows that making mistakes is part of learning.  Boston's behaviour goal is to stay in focus.  James wants to improve in his sports.  Isabella will master her division.   Fearn aims to master her multiplication and division facts.  Leea will stay focused on learning and will achieve this by not getting distracted and concentrating better.  Jessica wants to build her confidence around the Year 7 students.  Imogen wants to be ready to make mistakes, and so learn better.   Cheyenne aims to be a better swimmer and get into the international swimming competition at High School, by practising hard.  Finn R wants to get quicker at writing.  Michael M aims to talk more and share his ideas and answers. Charlie and Jayden's goal is to master their instant recall of maths basic facts.  Joosje has a goal of speaking up when she gets stuck, and of asking questions.  Frankie is to aim to get better at sports. Amber wants to get more confident when speaking.  Kyle will learn to spell longer and more difficult words.  Lucy J is going to stay focused at all times!!  Lucy R has the behaviour goal of self-control and patience.  Connor is to pay more attention in class and Oskar's goal is to say focused.

Many of us have outside interests like dance, music, tramping, fishing, all sports, whittling, archery and paintball.

We especially enjoy our sports and our social times but we appreciate all our learning opportunities.

WE ARE SPECIAL BECAUSE:

We care for each other by showing respect, and we are a special class because we are trying hard to achieve our goals.
